Pearly Yon in collaboration with Mingo Lamberti produced a range of scatter cushions inspired by antique tea cups. The idea for this project was inspired after a visit to an infamous china shop in Kalk Bay called “Whatnot & China”.
The Voortekker design is a spin of the famous Skoda tea set which depicts an Italian landscape. I’ve replaced the Italian landscape with a South African farm setting.
The Swedish cushion has taken the simple geometric flowers that are infamous with Swedish tea cups and created a whole landscape in the same style.
The Twisted cushion design looks like an innocent flower but the smaller details of the flower are actually eyes looking back at you.
The Blommitji cushion was influenced by retro tea cups. Flowers seem to be the most common subject of this era, if you take a closer look at Blommitji you will see there is a flower, which is made up of smaller flowers and another flower within that flower. Like flower over-kill.
Grab one of these limited edition cushions for only R440 (shipping to South Africa included) from the Wolves Online Shoppe!
